The Sobresalientes is still as intriguing and gorgeous as it was before, with the medium brown wrapper being soft but not quite smooth and with a pleasant oily texture. The cigar has some give, falling somewhere between firm and spongy. Musty hay and graham cracker sweetness still radiate from the wrapper, and the cold pull is virtually unchanged, with sweet hay, graham cracker, light cinnamon, and some extremely strong pepper.
With the chilly draw basically unaltered, I think I shouldn’t be shocked that the first third begins almost identically as previously. In the initial puffs, pepper dominates the profile, followed by cocoa, hay, and cedar.
