Born in Cuba in 1950, third generation master blender Jose ‘Pepin’ Garcia rolled his first cigar at the young age of 11, and it was then that his passion for tobacco and premium cigars was born. In 2003, Garcia came to Miami and opened a small cigar factory called El Rey de los Habanos with his son, Jaime, and daughter, Janny. His early blends received critical acclaim and rave reviews. This was the perfect foundation for the company to grow, and it grew quickly. Leveraging the expertise that Jose Pepin gained from launching the Tatuaje, San Cristobal, or La Aroma de Cuba brands, he had the expertise to bring this vision to life. Along with his eponymous Don Pepin Garcia brand, all the pieces were in place for Pepin to take the company to new heights.

In May 2003, Jose Pepin Garcia and his family opened a small cigar factory in Little Havana and began to manufacture their own cigar lines. The Don Pepin Garcia line was one of the earliest hits blended by the master cigar maker & debuted five years before the My Father brand was launched. To celebrate their 20th anniversary, the Garcia family brings you the Don Pepin Garcia 20th Anniversary Limited Edition 2023.
The 20th Anniversary is a 6 1/2 x 52 Toro that is aged to perfection and features an exclusive blend drawn from the finest and rarest tobaccos grown and aged by the Garcia family. An Oscuro wrapper, grown in Nicaragua, cradles select Nicaraguan long filler tobaccos, including Pelo de Oro tobacco, grown from a special seed varietal that the Garcia’s reserve for their rarest cigars. Succulent notes of cedar, leather and coffee bean accompany Pepin’s ultra smooth signature spice from the first puff to the last.

To celebrate their 20th anniversary, the Garcia family have collaborated with fine humidor experts Elie Bleu to release the Don Pepin Garcia 20th Anniversary Humidor. 75 humidors are being produced of which only 70 will be made available globally. Contrasting the beautiful high gloss finish and wood grain are the distinctive My Father and Don Pepin Garcia logos.
The humidor includes 100 cigars in the 6 1/2 x 54 vitola size that is exclusively reserved for My Father Cigars Limited Editions, all of the tobacco has been grown on the My Father Farms – 50 cigars come with a Nicaraguan Corojo 99 wrapper and the other 50 with an Ecuador Connecticut wrapper. These cigars are packaged in a separate wooden box, allowing the owner to receive the humidor completely empty and have the enjoyment of personalizing the humidor to their liking.
The blend also features two binders; the first, Corojo 2006, which enhances the overall flavour of the cigar, was grown in a strategically located farm, that Jose ’Pepin’ Garcia has dedicated exclusively to this variety of seed. The second binder, a Habano, complements and balances the flavour, with the addition of the very exclusive ‘Pelo de Oro’, which enhances the overall flavour of the cigars and overall smoking experience. The filler is composed of tobaccos coming from different farms, in different regions, owned by the Garcia’s as well. The result is an exquisite and unique medium to full bodied cigar.
